FLAVIA MULUNGI is a multimedia and live events Producer & Director with over six years of combined experience in digital, live TV, and across social media platforms. With expertise in all elements of production, from creative writing and development to post-production and marketing, she has created content for multimillion-dollar digital campaigns & live events and worked with renowned brands and organizations, including Disney, Condé Nast, Amazon Live, Complex Media, OkayAfrica, and MadameNoire. Her work in production covers a diverse range of topics — from news to entertainment, politics, fashion, race & gender, mental health, music, sports, pop culture, and lifestyle. She has produced shoots in-studio, on-location & virtually, directed high-profile talent and supervised post-production to deliver on tight deadlines.
Additionally, Flavia has curated live and virtual events, including interactive audience experiences, Q&As, talent-driven panels, and festivals for global brands such as ComplexCon, OkaySpace, African Artists Association, and most recently, Girl Rising’s 2021 International Day of the Girl’s Summit – a three-day globe-spanning virtual event celebrating the power and potential of girls to transform communities, nations and our world. Her work in the live and virtual events space encompasses women in media, pop culture, film festivals, live music, diverse cultural programming, fitness, education, art curation, charity and activism, finances, and career building.
Flavia is currently the Program Producer for Girl Rising’s Future Rising Initiative, a new storytelling, advocacy, and social impact program designed to drive investment and support for girls’ education. She intends to utilize her skills, knowledge, and background to amplify the stories of women of color, specifically Black women, and contribute ideas to the media space that reflect her unique cultural background and experiences.
